injection of a medication into the varicosed vein which scleroses it, causing the vein to be reabsorbed.
Untreated varicose veins can swell legs and ankles eventually leading to stasis dermatitis and ulceration.
Once a varicose or spider vein is injected, it will undergo a 'bruising' inside the vein that can take weeks to
disappear. Multiple sessions are required.
